Westeel
What makes Westeel silos the right choice?
Westeel are guaranteed sealed silos.
For strength, durability and long term value, Westeel Centurion® W can't be beaten.
Strength and value
Specifically engineered for exceptional sidewall strength, Centurion stiffened sidewalls are over 250% more efficient at achieving the maximum load possible out of each kilo of steel as compared to competitive unstiffened bins. That means you can attain the additional strength you want without the extra expense of having to use a heavier gauge.
Heavy duty construction
All of the Centurion sidewall sheets have a 100mm corrugation and feature a galvanized coating, which is 25% heavier than the industry standard. Most sheets are rolled from high strength steel that allows for stronger, yet lighter sheets. These sheets are punched with a unique computer-optimized pattern for maximum structural integrity while minimizing the number of bolts required. Lighter sheets using fewer bolts makes our bins are easier and faster to erect
Safety features
All Westeel Silos are manufactured to exceed both AS 3773 and AS 1657. Total Grain can provide a risk assessment service to provide the correct silo access required. Westeel offer a full range of caged ladders, platforms and roof access including handrails. Westeel also offer silo stairways, the safest alternative to accessing the silo inspection hatch or the peak cap.
Sturdy sealed roof design
Other brands use roof clips to secure the roof to the side walls, leaving a gap up to 10mm that has to be filled in with sealant. Sealing compounds can crack over time creating spots where insects can live. All Westeel bins use a unique radiused angle that bolts up leaving no gap, making the bin much easier to seal and stay sealed. Featuring a 30 degree slope for quick moisture run off, Centurion W roofs are engineered for exceptional strength with large integral ribs formed right into the roof panels.
